Ford Ranger RaptorThrottle Controller
Built for Raptor owners who want maximum bite the moment they touch the pedal. 10 driving modes, valet mode, and battery-safe memory - all controlled from the backlit display.
Also known as a pedal booster or throttle enhancer. This Ford Ranger Raptor throttle controller plugs in at the accelerator pedal and changes how quickly the pedal signal reaches the engine. It doesn't remap the ECU or add power, needs no cutting or splicing, and unplugs completely before a service. Read our guide to throttle controllers.

What is a throttle controller?
A throttle controller, also called a pedal booster, throttle enhancer, throttle response controller or pedal box, plugs in between your vehicle's electronic accelerator pedal and the engine computer. It changes how quickly the pedal signal is passed on, so the vehicle responds sooner when you press the pedal. It doesn't add power or change the ECU, and it unplugs completely. Read our guide to throttle controllers.
Will it fit my vehicle?
Each controller is made for one vehicle's accelerator pedal connector, and the model years it fits are shown on every product page. Not sure? WhatsApp us your model and year and we'll confirm before you order. If we confirm a fit and it turns out to be wrong, we collect it at our cost and swap it or refund you.
Does it work with manual, automatic, petrol and diesel?
Yes. It works with manual and automatic gearboxes, and with both petrol and diesel engines. What matters is the vehicle and its model years, which are shown on every product page.
Does it add power or change the ECU?
No. It doesn't touch your engine's computer (ECU) and it doesn't add power. Your accelerator pedal sends an electronic signal to the engine; the controller changes how quickly and how strongly that signal is passed on, so the vehicle responds sooner when you press the pedal.
How long does it take to fit?
About 10 minutes. Unplug the connector at the accelerator pedal in the driver's footwell, plug the controller in between, then mount the display and pick a mode. Make sure both plugs click in firmly, and use the cable ties in the box to secure the controller and its cables so nothing can vibrate loose. There's no cutting or splicing of wires.
Will it cause warning lights or error codes?
No, not when it's fitted correctly. If a warning light does come on, it's usually the installation: a plug that isn't fully clicked in, a loose cable, or a controller that isn't secured and moves with vibration. Check that both plugs click in firmly and fasten the controller and cables with the cable ties in the box. If the light stays on, unplug the controller, reconnect the factory plug and WhatsApp us.
Can I remove it before a service?
Yes. Unplug the controller and reconnect the factory plug, and the vehicle is back to standard. It leaves no permanent changes.
Will it affect my vehicle's warranty or motor plan?
The controller plugs into the factory connector without cutting wires or making permanent changes, and you can remove it before a dealer service. We can't speak for vehicle manufacturers, dealers or motor plan providers, though, so if this concerns you, check your plan's terms or ask your dealer before fitting it.
Will it use more fuel?
It doesn't change how your engine is tuned. Fuel use still comes down to how you drive: the sharper modes make it easy to accelerate harder, while economy mode softens the pedal for gentler driving.
Can I use it when towing?
Yes, but take extra care. A sharper pedal changes how the vehicle pulls away, especially with a load behind you, so start in standard or economy mode until you're used to how it responds. You remain responsible for the vehicle at all times.
What are the driving modes?
There are 10 modes, including standard, economy, sport, race and valet. Valet mode limits throttle response when someone else is driving. You switch modes with the buttons on the display, and the controller remembers your last mode when you restart the vehicle.
What's in the box?
The display unit, the control module with its cable, a wiring adapter for your vehicle's pedal connector, three cable ties and a manual.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery is included in the price, anywhere in South Africa. We dispatch within 1–3 working days of your payment being confirmed, and couriers usually take 2–4 working days to main centres and 5–7 to outlying areas. These are estimates, not guarantees. You'll get a tracking number by email when your order ships.
What if I don't like it?
You have 30 days from delivery to return it for a full refund, as long as it's complete and undamaged. Return postage is on you. Before sending it back, WhatsApp us: often a different mode is all it takes. Every controller also carries a 2-year warranty. See our refund policy for the details.
How do I pay?
By card or EFT. Card payments (Visa or Mastercard) are made securely on our checkout page through Paystack and are confirmed straight away. We never see your full card details.
If you choose EFT, our bank details appear on the confirmation page and in your confirmation email. Use your order number (e.g. TD1001) as the reference. FNB-to-FNB and instant EFT payments reflect immediately; other banks usually take 1–2 working days. We dispatch once the payment reflects in our account, and WhatsApping your proof of payment helps us match it faster. Unpaid EFT orders are cancelled after 3 working days.
